Dolores Bernardo People Development, Google

Dolores leads Google's manager development programs globally within People Development. Her team's mission is to make sure that every Googler has a great manager! Dolores and her group pride themselves on their focus- helping managers demonstrate care and concern for their teams. Every quarter over 1000 managers are impacted through programs her team runs.

Prior to her current role, Dolores held multiple roles within People Development. Dolores launched an emerging leaders program called Leadership Impact & Presence and scaled it globally to reach 200 leaders per year. Dolores has worked with intact teams, facilitated leadership and wellbeing programs, and has coached high potential leaders. She is especially proud to help Google's innovative leaders develop mindfulness, emotional intelligence and compassion. Prior to Google, Dolores was Director of the Western Region for Catalyst, the premier institution that focuses on women’s advancement in business where she consulted with companies such as Microsoft, Intuit, Sun Microsystems, and Barclays Global Investors on their human capital strategies. Dolores started her career as a change management consultant at Accenture.

She holds a Master’s degree from Harvard in Public Policy where she received the Taylor Sargent Award for her contribution to Women’s Leadership while at Harvard. She received her Bachelor's of Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo (SLO). Dolores discovered Tai Chi at SLO and continues her practice in Silicon Valley, where she now lives with her husband and two children.
